Young Kingbird and Bear Creek

I do have to admit these two CDs were incredibly hard for me to put into words. The tribal rhythm of Natives is showcased on both these CDs. I have in the past had the great fortune of being invited to ceremonies with the natives and the drumming and chanting were there. The disks in question here brought me back to the same feeling and almost out of mind transcendence and spirituality I heard while I was at the cermonies.

The two CDs although not precisely the same , still bring a peace to the mind and energy to the spirit. If you've never experienced this incredibly powerful and moving experience by actually being there, and you are not familiar with native recordings, this may not be right up your musical alley. On the other hand if you have had the pleasure of experiencing the magic the two CDs should help and bring back some of the sacred feelings encountered while in the presence. For sure they brought me back, and from a novice in this musical expression, I still enjoyed the sounds that drew me back to the real events. Think to yourself this, if Gregorian chants could catch on, this enlightening combination should touch you farther and deeper.
