Bonnie Bishop

Another rising star from Texas. Bonnie blends a good mix of traditional and new country on this EP. The final product is a four song glimpse at what sounds to be just the beginning for Bonnie. All tracks were at least co-written by Bonnie, with the exception of "Only Glory"(Leann Atherton/Jay Patterson) . All the tunes have a great mix and reeks of pure country. Bonnie has shared the
studio with numerous Texas performers, from Derrick O'Brien to John Inmon.  Bonnie adds energy to her music and vocals with a style that seems to be a cross between Mary Chapin Carpenter and Roseanne Cash.

The single that has been released to radio is "Send Me A Cowboy", and is beginning to pick up momentum at Radio. Bonnie lets her vocals soar on this track that has Bonnie asking "Are there any real men left?". The opening number "Goin' Back To Texas " is another very strong tune. Bishop has a strong voice that from this little sample EP can manage the tender songs to the upbeat packin' the dance floor numbers. This is just a first glimpse, and I am looking
forward to the next endeavor from Bonnie which may be out this fall. Bonnie's unique voice, and produced spectacularly by Riley Osborne. Any one of these four gems would fit in very easily in either country or Aericana radio. A great beginner CD from a gal with astonishing talent.
