A bluegrass salute to the Holiday Season, KOCH entertainment are sending Christmas Grass Volume 2 (Christmas Grass too) your way. Listening to this CD makes it hard to not enjoy the holidays, a wonderful bluegrass mix that features some of the Biggest stars doing some very recognizable songs. Contributing artists include Dolly Parton, Rhonda Vincent, Charlie Daniels, The Larkins, Sonya Isaacs and more. 

Christmas Grass Vol. 2 covers both sides of the Christmas coin here by offering the Religious as well as the plain festive sound. Dolly Parton opens the CD with a lively, fun rendition of Christmas Time's A Comin'. As with any Dolly Parton Christmas recording there is a simple innocence and playfulness to her voice like no other can do. Ronnie Bowman does a moving performance on Merry Christmas Ho Ho Ho, a truly spectacular track. 

Other tracks that stand out include Rhonda Vincent's warm performance of Tennessee Christmas, and Sonya Isaacs performance of Mary Did You Know is one of the best renditions of the track I can remember. Bottom line, if you're having a hard time getting into the spirit, Christmas Grass Vol. 2 has the ability to warm even the coldest of hearts. This is one CD that will be around for many Christmases to come, it is far and away superior to the first Christmas Grass, a wonderful Christmas CD for 2004.
