 Courtney C. Patty has won numerous songwriting awards, and has released three full length CDs prior to the release of this EP consisting of 4 previously unreleased songs. The femme folk-pop songstress has songwriting elements that pay homage to artists such as Jewell and early Sarah McLaughlin with a splash of indie-rock elitist Ani Difranco, while remaining true and honest to her own vision at the same time.

Vocally you may find yourself comparing the fresh voice to artists such as Suzanne Vega. I will ask that you listen with an individual in mind rather than taking a comparative attitude. I think that the sound and style of Courtney C. Patty deserves that at least, the comparisons are usually made to simply send listeners in the right direction when they have not had the experience of listening to a new artist yet. From the California area, Courtney C. Patty can bring the folk attitude of days gone by with the pop sound of more of her contemporaries at the same time.

If you have already heard CCP on previous releases "I Am" or "Waiting on the Universe" you know what to expect here as well with more of the same, but still a step forward and a sound of growth. You will notice a definite maturing in the new EP in both the style and performance, while holding her true vision and sound of her past work. A good CD and a good forward to the career of Courtney C. Patty that can be used as a step forward, or a good introduction to her sound.
