Doc Walker - Everyone Aboard

Taking Canada by storm, next stop total worldwide Country domination? Well, we've seen some of Canada's brightest go on to be mega country superstars like Shania, Terri Clark, Emerson Drive, Paul Brandt, Carolyn Dawn Johnson and a host of others as well. So where do Doc Walker fit into the mix? Well for starters at this years Canadian Country Music Awards, "Rocket Girl"(from the CD Curve) was up for single of the year and SOCAN song of the year,  and the band was up for group/duo of the year.

The single "The Show is Free" has proven that Doc Walker seem to have staying power as well. The new album "Everyone Aboard" is now a Canadian country music staple featuring the energetic and charismatic vocals of Chris Thorsteinson, and the rockin' country backup of  Dave Wasyliw on guitar and backup vocals, Murray Pulver on lead guitar and backing vocals, Blake Manley on bass, and the hellfire drumming of Mark Branconnier, along with his backing vocals.

Doc Walker prove that vocal harmonies, and upbeat rockin' sounds can make a country audience flock to the shows. The sound of Doc Walker is fresh, and exciting while still holding on to the roots of rockabilly, and country music alike. A continued strive towards musical perfection, and keeping their focus and drive to form a true Doc Walker sound is extremely evident on the new CD.

A host of could be hits, and pure listenability is a great combination, and it is here on Everyone Aboard. From the culmination of pure country story telling, and driving hooks, Doc Walker have found their sound, and elaborated on it. From pure country standard expanded in "Forgive Me (for giving a damn)" to the edgy "Just Drive", Doc Walker prove that a country group from Portage La Prairie, Manitoba can become a success adding small town sound, with big city attitude.
