G - Continuing adventures of the Granati Bros.

How's your memory ? If it's not exceptional you may not remember hearing about the Granati Bros. (then G-Force, and now simply G). The guys were a driving force of a band in the 70s and then in the 80s, when they were on tour opening for Van Halen, G have proven over time that they are worthy to be called rockers. The Granati Brothers latest CD, which is a bit over a year old, shows what the appeal of the band was.

What we have on The Continuing Adventures of the Granati Brothers is a melodic retro-rock CD with above average musicianship, and stellar vocals. The boys don't sound like they have lost the magic, the music may sound a bit dated to the modern rock crowd, but this is a great memory for me, this is Rock n' Roll my friends. For rock music fans, the ones who don't mind slipping into a bit of yesteryear, this CD is simply inspired.

G , the current incarnation of the Granati Bros., is comprised of Hermie G. - Lead vox and Keys, Joey G. - Lead vox, keys and bass, David G. - Lead vox and guitars, and Tony Lee Bonomo on drums and b/g vox. The harmonies alone created on this CD are worth a listen. This is a CD that could be put up against the best CDs by Styx or Supertramp, and win the battle at times. Win, simply because there isn't any second rate music here, this is all the true deal.

Great songs from start to finish, 14 of the 15 are originals, with one cover song, a groovy version of the Beatles Oh Darlin'. So set your musical time machine on retro-rock and allow yourself the opportunity to experience G, you will be glad you took the trip. Pay some extra attention to Resolution, We Were Alone, and the rockin' Something Better. A great CD, Thanks G.
