Metal Vocal Legend Ian Gillan Rocks with the Help of Some  Immortal Friends on Gillan's Inn

Fronting Deep Purple, taking over as the third vocalist for Black Sabbath (Born Again - 1983) and also had his own band (Gillan , Ian Gillan Band) and returned to the Deep Purple lineup. Well, as a vocalist there are few rockers that have followed that don't name Gillan as one of their main influences. Hell, think about it, Even Pavarotti praised Ian Gillan a GENIUS!

Hey, how about the point of this review ? Well, let Ian Gillan with some very special friends, some of Rock Music's true Royalty (see track listing below). Well, On Gillan's Inn we get a glimpse into the past as we revisit some of the tracks that Ian Gillan sent to hall of fame status. Songs from Deep Purple and his solo career, this is what Rock was meant to sound like. This is what the Lord of Heavy Metal was thinking about when he created hard rock and metal on the eighth day!

If I gave this album a bad review I would be struck by a huge freakin' lightning bolt. Kiddies, this is not the perfect metal album, but whether you are a fan or not, you have got to dig the grooves here. If you have heard the tracks before, they are more than done justice to here, this is some heavy shit that deserves the attention of music fans and the heavy metal salute, dig it! Ian Gillan's vocals are as strong as ever, this is sheer enjoyment. I may be a bit biased as this is some of my favorite heavy music, but it is treated with the respect you would hope on Gillan's Inn.

This is a dualdisc formatted disc, and the specs are below.
