Canadian cinema has always been on the cutting edge, more with their plots and story lines than technology. Ice Men is one of those films, well, if you let the first 10 to 20 minutes of the film decide whether or not this is your kind of movie it may be on it's way back to the video store. A recommendation, let the characters build over the beginning, and then let yourself escape into the complicated lives of male bonding, friendship, and change.

Director Thom Best (who's prior work was mostly that of a cinematographer on "Queer as Folk". "Men With Brooms", and "Ginger Snaps") captures the essence of these men, their personal demons, and their search for personal answers. Bringing together some great Canadian talent in one movie that will be loved by some and discarded by others. Put away your misconceptions of Canadian filmmaking and escape with Ice Men, your problems or concerns with life may not seem as major as they once did.
