Jason Allen - Something I Dreamed

Wes Daily (Grandson of "Pappy Daily" - manager and producer of George Jones in the 50s & 60s) heard Jason Allen perform and thought, this is just what D Records needs. Wes was looking for someone to revive the label since the early recordings of George Strait and the Ace in the Hole Bands early recordings. Well, Wes found a charismatic performer, with a true knowledge of REAL country music, a great songwriter, and a kid with a heck of a voice (just ask his mom and dad).

Something I Dreamed combines solid songwriting from Jason Allen, as well as songs from established songwriters and artists including George Strait's "I Can't See Texas From Here", and songs written by Paul Overstreet, Curtis Wayne, Wayne Kemp, and Ben Wilson. One of the most original, and catchy songs on the album is "Body and Fender Man" written by Allen, Dennis Knutson, and Mark Kehr.
