The Killer hits a home run on his new CD! Jerry Lee Lewis gets some help from a wide array of friends on his new CD of duets LAST MAN STANDING. Rock 'n' Roll is anything but dead folks, all you have to do is pick up the latest, and highly anticipated CD from the last remaining Sun Records original alumni, the Killer is still standing, and by God still rocking! Last Man Standing is by far the best ROOTS CD of the year. Jerry Lee Lewis has still got it, and the over 20 music legends from all genres know it and are happy to be a part of this must have CD for any fan of music from Rock, to R&B and Country, baby you can't let this one sit, Jerry Lee once said "I'm a rompin', stompin', piano playing son of a bitch...." And this CD shows it.... in spades!

There just aren't many artists with the true staying power, hell there aren't even many of the "KILLER's" stature alive today. Enlisting the help of some of the biggest names across music's landscape from Country, Rock, R&B, Pop ...... You get to hear Jerry Lee kicking out the virtual Jams with the likes of Keith Richards and Mick Jagger, Kid Rock, "THE BOSS" Bruce Springsteen, Rod Stewart, Toby Keith, George Jones, Neil Young, Buddy Guy and a host of others (all listed below).

From rockin' with the BOSS on Pink Cadillac, Kickin' it into high gear with John Fogerty on Travelin' Band, Western Swinging with George Jones on "Don't Be Ashamed of your Age", and by God just simply shining. You don't like Kid Rock, skip the track, Kid Rock really is abrasive to some, but when you take the entire CD into examination, there really isn't any time when this disk goes into the crapper. For being, out of the original Sun recording artists (Elvis, Cash, Perkins and Orbison) the true "Last Man Standing", this is one for the ages. Tony Bennett,  Sinatra, and many other crooners have offered up truly lackluster "DUETS" recordings, so just don't discount this one as JUST ANOTHER duets record, this CD took four years of recording, and shines brighter than SIRIUS if you are willing to give it the chance it deserves.

The one recommendation I give is this, don't go into any new CD with the feeling that you have to find the bad. This is one of those GOOD TIMES recordings that needs one simple thing, an open mind, and a musical itch to simply have some rollicking fun, and then you will walk away from this with a severe need for a repeat taste, again and again. This is one of the most infectious albums of the past five years, and The Killer Jerry Lee Lewis sounds better than he has in the last decade and a half, both from the ivories and the vocal performances!
