Jimmy Buffett still gives fans of his License to Chill CD a few tracks to keep them satisfied, but he also goes back to what he knows best and gives his die-hard fans an album they can truly enjoy as well. This is not a straight forward Country Music CD, on Take The Weather With You, Buffett gives up one of his best recordings in years. Adding his Island folk-rock with a little Country flavor thrown in, this is as true and honest a representation of Jimmy Buffett's unique style.

OK, so the CD starts off with his first single, a good time drinkin' tune that satisfies the Country fans, Bama Breeze is a simple, and fun bar song that you can sing along to almost immediately. Jimmy Buffett shows some more honesty and heart, more of what makes JB unique. There are some light and fluffy "take me away" tracks like Bama Breeze, Cinco De Mayo In Memphis, Duke's On Sunday and Everybody's on the Phone.

Some of the real treats on Take The Weather With You are songs originally done by others that Jimmy Buffett puts his own stamp of excellence on. Tracks by Mark Knopfler (Whoop De Doo), Crowded House (Weather With You), Mary Gauthier (Wheel Inside The Wheel), Gillian Welch (Elvis Presley Blues) and Merle Haggard (Silver Wings) are all featured here. Jimmy Buffett sheds his pure Country skin he put on for License to Chill to get back to the music that made him famous and it is evident this is where Buffett is most comfortable!
