A concert put on as only the Man in Black could put on a prison concert, Johnny Cash is in fine form on this CD or DVD. A copy of the nationally televised concert featuring Cash, Linda Ronstadt, Roy Clark, and Foster Brooks. Featuring classic performances by all involved in this once in a lifetime event. Pure nostalgia as you get to see the entire concert complete as aired, complete with the TV announcers comments.

The concert footage is amazing, but that's all there is on this DVD. No special features, no bonus footage, just the concert. That is enough really, as seeing Cash in such a pure performance and fine form is amazing enough, but so many
people want more from the technology today, and this CD/ DVD simply doesn't offer any extras.

As far as the performances, bar none the show offers some of the best footage of the performers ever recorded. Johnny Cash offers his finest performance, putting forth a wonderful act for one of his favorite concert settings, Cash always held a special place in his heart for the inmates and shows his originality and flare on tunes from "A Boy Named Sue" to "Wreck Of The Old Ninety Seven" with guitar by Carl Perkins. A true who's who of music nostalgia. One of the best performances is the upbeat scorcher "Orange Blossom Special".

Johnny Cash and friends put on the concert of a lifetime for all to enjoy. Although there are no extras, a guaranteed nostalgic concert setting is a wonderful addition to a music lover's CD/ DVD collection. The late Johnny Cash puts in the show of shows as he performs at the very top of his game, the hilarious Foster Brooks is a great addition as well as classic performances by Roy Clark and the amazing Linda Ronstadt. An amazing performance from beginning to end.
