There was a time when the music business was much simpler, artists weren't afraid to take chances, they didn't have the huge record conglomerates and execs to answer to either. Radio shows used to be a big part of peoples lives, and a lot of the time they were a mix of different country styles, and played live. Matt Lindahl has produced a CD that brings me back to those simpler times with the feel of an old-time radio broadcast.

Recorded "Live" of the floor in an Adobe, Trailer and Motel room (hence the name) A simple sound, but that is part of the allure here. Matt Lindahl placed third in the 2004 season of Nashville Star. Matt Lindahl is one of the few artists now that dares to take chances ending up a little left of the musical center. The hardest thing to do here was try and put  Adobe Trailer Motel in a category that fits the music.

Matt Lindahl has a style all his own, with a nod to greats like Roger Miller. Adobe Trailer Motel can go from the hilarious to songs of true passion. Matt Lindahl has a style that country music had lost, not everyone can pull this off, but Lindahl does a fine job. Hell, he has a great talent that is not only for making us laugh, but Matt Lindahl has a personable demeanor that adds to the mix. You can almost feel yourself on a beach gathering around a bonfire while one of your friends grabs his guitar and entertains.

Matt Lindahl is a true entertainer in a music world that is filled with carbon copies of the same style. Matt Lindahl for sure has the potential to be one of the biggest selling indie artists and gather a cult type following. Adobe Trailer Motel is one of the most entertaining CDs I've heard in a while. Matt may not have the strongest voice, however their is a simple charm that is engaging. If this doesn't put a smile on your face check your pulse, this is a stone cold treat. I am already looking forward to his next project, and this was just released.
