This CD has a classic bluegrass sound mixed with the sounds of the new bluegrass movement. The harmonies are enticing, the music is compelling, and the music is slick and pure. Drive have shared the stage with many of the greats such as Ricky Skaggs, Ralph Stanley, and Rhonda Vincent just to name a few. The band add their own personal mark on the bluegrass sound that envelops all the tracks. Although Michelle Nixon is the primary lead vocalist, the duties of lead are also shared with Vernon Hughes and Jim Green.

This disk also has a rousing instrumental number "Coach Potato" which showcases the talents of Drive. The band is Michelle Nixon - Vocals, Vernon Hughes - mandolin and vocals, Jason Davis - banjo, Eddie Shifflett - guitar, Jim Green - bass and vocals, and Justen Haynes - fiddle. Michelle Nixon and company have the ability to send you back in time when "Mountain Music" was coming to the forefront.  They update the classic style of bluegrass while remaining true to it's roots.

I don't really like comparing, but the style reminds me of Rhonda Vincent and when Jim Green sings he sounds a bit like a deeper voiced Ricky Skaggs. The energy of Michelle Dixon and Drive has a tendency to make you want to just get up and dance with whoever is next to you, so it may not be wise to play this one in the office. Whether you like traditional bluegrass or the styles of Allison Krauss or Rhonda Vincent this CD would be a welcome addition to your music Library.

Songs of note are "Harlen", "The Writings On The Wall", "Step Into The Water" and "Hello Operator". A toe tappin' , step dancing collection of work that is bound to keep you moving. "One Small Miracle" is a more medium tempo song that sounds the most like, out of the whole CD, like the new bluegrass movement.
