Last season the USA Network brought us our first season of Nashville Star. The show was packed with some talented performers, and of course there were a couple of duds in the mix as well. Overall country music fans from all over the U.S. were tuning in on Saturday Nights to the USA Network's original reality show, Nashville Star. The competition would get pretty hectic down the line as the performers ( for the most part ) seemed to get better every week.

The winner of last years show has his first Gold Record under his belt, Buddy Jewell was awarded with this honor on the very first show of Season 2 of Nashville Star. Reaching the top 10 with 2 hit singles off his self titled album, including "Help Pour Out The Rain (Lacey's Song)", and "Sweet Southern Comfort". Buddy Jewell proved that not all reality show winners are subject to be at the bottom of the pack. His stellar voice and simple charm has won Buddy Jewell fans worldwide, and he has staying power, he can belt out any song like a champion.

Other Nashville Star season 1 contestants who released albums last year include the "Teddy Bear with the spikey hair" as host Nancy O'Dell called him last year, Brandon Silveira released his independent country CD "That Boy Ain't Right" packed with original songs and a duet with season 1 house mate Anne Blythe on "Heaven Needs Angels". Brandon proved to be a solid artist after a bit of skepticism on his talent by some. His voice is strong, room for improvement, but good nonetheless. Amy Chappell also released a new independent CD These Days. I really liked Amy on Nashville Star, the CD is good, but fell a bit short of my hopes.
