I'm just going to start by going on the record and saying this is the CD I have been waiting for from Roger Creager. If there is one thing I have learned about Texas Music, it's that it simply HAS to be experienced live, and with one listen to Live Across Texas you get to feel exactly what they mean when they say that. Roger Creager has the charisma and personality to hold the audience along with him, and on Live Across Texas you also get to realize that Texas music fans are loyal, they know all the words to your songs and they aren't afraid to sing along.

Roger Creager may not have made his mark in College, but he is beginning to blaze a trail that the world is going to pick up on. Creager is bound to get more fans than the loyal partiers through the south, and especially Texas. Pat Green has proven that Texas Country Music is solid and commands an audience, that is a great break, however the talent, style, and attitude of Roger Creager mat soon make him a name that will be known, Roger Creager may just become the biggest export from the Lone Star State in the new millennium, watch this guy, he will soon be soaring above the eagles! 

On Live Across Texas you get a good taste of what a party it is to be at a live Roger Creager show, and if you don't have too much of a hangover you will probably go and see him again at the local barroom tonight. This is plain and simple honest music that has the lyrics and style to keep the joint hoppin'. You have your patented Roger Creager Texas Country tracks like "Things Look Good Around Here", "Mother's A Redneck Too" and the unofficial theme song for a Roger Creager show "Having Fun All Wrong".

That's not all the honky tonkin' swing style of "Shreveport To New Orleans" is infectious with some vocal help from Jason Swindle. Even his more "tender" mood on "Shoulda Learned By Now" could teach Nashville a thing or two about REAL Country Music. The outtakes at the end of the CD, and the Tex-Mex of "Rancho Grande" he performs with his dad Bill Creager show some of the more fun and lighthearted moments. Bottom line, don't miss this CD, this is as good a place to start as any for discovering Roger Creager, and it won't be the last CD you buy from this Rising Texas Star!
