Sara Botkin - An Angel's Christmas

Just listening to this CD from Sara Botkin is a treat, you can feel the energy flowing as her beautiful vocals resonate some of the best and most well known Christmas songs around. That is the first take on the CD, and it gets better.. Not only is she a talented and classically trained vocalist and pianist, there are no other voices on this CD but hers. Think that is really no big deal? Well, while listening to the 22 tracks recorded here, you would swear at times there are back up vocals, and even going so far as to think at times that there is a boys choir in the background, well, there isn't, through recording magic Sara Botkin plays the piano, and does her own vocal accompaniment. 

Sara Botkin brings the very best in holiday music to your ears. Some of the most well known songs of the season from days gone by (What Child Is This, The Holly and The Ivy, O Holy Night etc.) to the more modern classics (Mary Did You Know, etc.). This is one of the best and most intricately recorded holiday albums of recent years. Sara Botkin can sing with operatic grace, or set the mood for almost any Holiday gathering.

An Angel's Christmas is 22 songs of the season in total, a wonderful musical experience that listeners and fans of many musical styles can appreciate. The reason for that is the intricate production on the CD that actually sounds as though it is recorded in a small intimate theater in one take on a beautiful, crisp, snow covered December 24th evening. A completely wonderful and moving experience, pick up a copy of Sara Botkin's "A Christmas Angel", it may very well become one of your holiday favorites for years to come.
