Scott Gibson - Make Ready

                    Scott Gibson - Make Ready

Hailing from Austin, Texas, Scott Gibson has a fresh style of Americana and country music. An innocent vocal approach is only one of the positive aspects of the new release on Hayden's Ferry records. "Make Ready" is already garnering worldwide radio airplay, and is climbing charts all over. Gibson's style is to take a laid back approach to his music that most generally works as it is a
fresh and unique slant to a growing music genre.

All the tunes are written by Scott Gibson, the descriptive and thoughtful lyrics are encompassed with pure country musicianship. Gibson has the ability to paint mental landscapes that allow you to escape, and become a part of the
music yourself. With roots sounds from country blues and traditional country to the modern "Make Ready" is a testament to Texas music today.

A CD that draws from country music past and present, from the story teller style of "Ballad of the Balladeer", rousing country in the vein of Marty Stuart in "Make Ready" and the faith lifting "Hand it Over", Scott Gibson's music lays
a foundation and builds on it from start to finish. This is not the quintessential country album today, but is very strong and deserves the attention it is starting to receive.

Keep on the lookout for Scott Gibson as a songwriter and an artist, the roots are planted, and the future is an upward growth. A new CD that is a good addition to any country collection, whether you prefer the traditional sound or
today's new country "Make Ready" has something for all fans. A couple songs of note are " Put Away The Blues" with it's imagery and emotion and the hard hitting honesty of the country/folk number "The Hardest Part of Hurtin' (Is The
Hope)". A great first effort.
( 5 Stars out of 6 )
