OK, first question, why Trilogy ? Well that's got an easy answer.... Three albums, all played live, one concert, one night, in Berlin. ‘Pornography’ (1982), ‘Disintegration’ (1989) and ‘Bloodflowers’ (2000) all played live in front of sell out crowds, two nights in a row at the Berlin Tempodrom in November 2002. The screaming fans got what they paid for, these sets are done in true Robert Smith and The Cure fashion with the signature vocals, guitar work, and of course incredible musicianship from the whole band.

What you get is every song, from all three albums, should I give it all away, yeah I think I will. It's not often you get a DVD featuring three classic albums by one band, in their entirety, Live. That's just for openers, while your watching a once in a lifetime rock spectacle, you also get to ponder this, there is the encore set of 2 songs, "If Only Tonight We Could Sleep" and "The Kiss". The 2 DVD set also features a 30 minute interview with the band, 2 hidden tracks and hidden interview footage as well.

Wow, if you're not worn out after this show, know that Robert and the band were. Also, Robert Smith has been quoted as saying this is the best lineup of The Cure he ever remembers working with. Running time: 223 minutes approximately, if you ended up with the VHS version, you don't get the incredible sound, and it only runs about 196 minutes. So for goodness sake, make sure you get the double DVD version, it's worth it.

I mean really folks, where in the world on one DVD collection do you get three entire albums featuring "One Hundred Years", " The Hanging Garden", "A Strange Day", "Lovesong", "The Same Deep Water As You", "Where The Birds Always Sing" and "The Kiss" plus others. I really am not exaggerating when I say this is the live concert event fans of  The Cure have been waiting for, and the concert The Cure has been waiting to show you.
