The Mickeys

Brought up in northern Michigan, identical twins Amy and Julie have now adopted Nashville, Tennessee as their hometown. Playing their unique brand of live music for the fans in the venues there. The Mickeys blend a smooth flowing mix of folk, bluegrass, and country with a true roots feel. "Finding Our Way" has
passion and energy mixed with simple emotion and enthusiasm. Amy and Julie have taken a journey back through American roots music and blended it all together with an acoustic flair.

Harmonies as beautiful as the twins themselves drives this CD home with a true romance of the Americana music heart. It is not hard to tell the siblings have been singing together since the age of four, the comfort level is entwined through the vocals and songwriting alike. The Mickeys have taken the stripped down approach to their sound and crafted a pleasurable listening experience from acoustic instruments, the omission of studio illusions and magic keeping the sound true and honest to the core.

Amy and Julie each earned degrees in Business Administration with minors in Music Business from Belmont before deciding to put together the duo in 2000 now known as The Mickeys.
