Main is not considered a hotbed for country music, Along comes a married mom of 4 trying to change that. A voice that at times could calm stormy waters, and then other times full of soul and energy. Vicki Lee has a true traditional country sound thanks to help from her mom as the two write the songs. A country gospel album more than a mainstream country sound. 

The fact that the sound is so retro, and smooth, may hurt Vicki Lee in search for airplay. The modern country radio couldn't add this to their rotation, as good as the sound is, it would stick out and seem out of place. For folks that just want to hear a good voice and don't mind the 70s country feel, Vicky Lee could be just what you're looking for. Tender uplifting numbers, a fair share of love songs, a bit of humor thrown in, and touching lyrics give the CD a good flow.

Not listing the best songs simply because all of Vicki Lee's share a common thread not putting any above the others. Vicki Lee has created a good CD, a good disk that may have a dated feel, it could be a welcome sound that would add some contrast in the listeners modern catalog. Worth checking out for both country and spiritual listeners. Vicki Lee is also featured on  a patriotic CD compilation, one of her songs on the CD "Don't Let Us Fall" was named "Patriotic Song Of The Year" from NACMAI.
